Time to start listening to PodCasts
OK everyone - send me your recommendations. I figure it's about time to start listening to podcasts, so I want to get a good download client that will keep me up to date. I've got a great device to listen to podcasts on, so I should start using it for that.
Carl Franklin of .Net Rocks recommends Nimiq for a simple tool and Azureus for a more advanced/complex tool on his PWOP Productions site. Both of these tools get Carl's stamp of approval due to their support of BitTorrent. I asked him what PWOP meant and he told me it was the sound of your hand hitting your forehead. ** PWOP ** - I can see it. Carl is also producing his own podcasting client, but it's apparently not ready yet. Check this out!
Paul Lockwood recommends iPodder specifically because of it's use of torrents. I wonder if the lack of BitTorrent network support is really a big impact in the performance of the tool and the network in general?
I'm sure there are hundreds of other possiblities out there. I'm looking for what people use and like. Please send me comments...
